Our estate cultivates white and red grapes. Thanks to the estate history, our vines look back on a certain age, and, we are especially proud of a 70 years old Auxerrois. The white wines show clear fruit and filigree aromas that are typical for their variety. The red wines are rich in body and of a remarkable aromatic structure. Our wines are the result of a winemaking that highly oriented in the quality of the grapes and that mirrors the character of the original terroir.
Since many years already we dedicate ourselves to produce – directly in our estate – sparkling according to méthode traditionelle. This sparkling Bernhard Sekt is continuously noted among Germany’s best sparklings.
We especially grow grapes that do not deliver an early harvest. And so, we harvest the wines for the BERNHARD Premium line deliberately in a scaled manner, depending on the state of ripeness of the grapes. It is our philosophy to consciously create and cultivate quality.
